Jack Powers is a pseudonymous writer based in Edinburgh. He started life by being christened in a pub by the Tartan Pimpernel. He continued life's journey with a stint boarding at one of the country's leading schools, using some of his experiences (but, by no means all) to describe Mitchell Strang's treatment at his 'bug hut' in 'Cormorant Wood Unsung'.
University followed and Powers drank deeply of life and most alcoholic beverages while at Aberdeen where he read English, when his eyes could focus.
As luck would have it, he was described during this period as 'kenspeckle', which seems appropriate, being a Scots word meaning, 'physically distinctive, but not necessarily by dint of being good-looking'.
He has since gained a further degree covering Modern History and is now a postgraduate at Edinburgh University.
Jack Powers is a fabulous fencer, a serial womaniser and a consummate liar.
